Apparently the writers took the money and ran. They promised multiplayer since it came out. Single player isnt a whole lot of fun. That was at least two years ago. For everyone that buys it they get paid and apple gets paid. Win win for both. Dont waste your money.

...and nowadays 256 or 512MB cannot hold M.U.L.E. in one go without "loading" in between for seconds? Come on! Some other annoyances: • Very unprecise movement control - and walking into walls was not originally included • where have the beloved animated bar graphs gone? (is it really such a good design idea to show all players results horizontally instead?) • Mountain wumpus shows up all too often (and got quite chubby over years) • mules cannot be returned to shop? • roundup screen could use some music Please fix that together with adding multi-player mode, cause it could become a great game conversion and deserves that finishing touch! Attention to detail, please!!

I really looked forward this remake for months but the result is disapointing. The loading times within the game are longer than in my original c64 version, thats not acceptable

Awesome

This was one of the defining games of its times and influenced so many of the game designers who went on to create more of the classics. This version is great, it stays true to the fun and addictive gameplay of the original while updating it to work well on iOS. Long life the Wampus!

A longtime ago, after I sold my Commodore 64, I bought back one with a friend only to play this game. Its back!!! Same fun all over the place. Only problems: - AI could be better. Winning is too easy - Original music is not there, even though the versions that are there are very recognizable - Multiplayer mode - the sooner, the better!

I was a fan of the original game. Not worth $4.99, wish I could get my money back. The game is a bit flawed, doesnt present criteria for colony health, doesnt provide strategic opportunity to review your land ownership, no multiplayer, annoying interruption of flow with Loading screens. Somehow the original seemed less repetitive for some reason.

True to the original with a modern touch. Absolutely love it so far.

I bought this on impulse, remembering it as a "classic" from my youth in the 1980s. Though the graphics have been updated, the gameplay has not been revamped to suit current gameplay expectations, nor is it really "touch device" oriented. I would have much preferred new and improved play mechanisms for the buying and selling that did not rely on the old "joystick" paradigm.

I love how this version is an update of the 80s classic. The authors didnt mess with a good thing. The original gameplay remains. There arent "new features" that destroy the original. The classic music is included as remastered versions. The only downside is the lengthy "Loading..." messages throughout the gameplay. If you loved 8-bit MULE you will love this version.

Had to overcome iPad bug. But its very faithful to the original. Get multiplayer working, at no extra charge, and itll be 5 stars.

I was so excited to see a remake of one of my favorite childhood games. PLUS, the reviews were all great, which leads me to believe they are are all friends of the developers, because THIS GAME IS TERRIBLE!! Heres why: 1. CONTROLS - your character slides around the screen like it has a mind of its own. Half the time you try to place a Mule on a plot it runs away even when youre standing dead centre on it. Why? Who knows... Its nearly unplayable. 2. STYLE - This game costs $5. Wheres the production value?? It looks like my 6 year old did the art work. 3. SOUND - Did someone purposely try and find the most annoying sound effects and put them all into one game? OVERALL: What a huge disappointment! Unplayable controls, sloppy design, antagonizing sound and waaaay overpriced. For $5 this game should have had some real polish. These guys are banking on you buying it because you loved the original. Well, this is a sad, sad copy of the original. What a waste of a classic gem. If you loved MULE dont buy this, it will sully a wonderful memory.
